This path was the main connection of Koumustas with the main resources of its region, the mountain fields on the foothills of the Rasina valley, the fields and gardens in the settlement of Pendavlos, the mountain forest in Pendavlos and the meadows of the upper zone. After the Pineri pit we can follow either a combination of forest roads and paths to the refuge or the path to Pentavlos from where a good E4 path leads to the refuge.
