On Sunday 14 June, the Hellenic Mountaineering Club (E.O.S.) of Sparta is organising, for its members, an excursion to Messinian Taygetus, specifically on the route Kato Karveli-Ano Karveli-Ladokarvelioti bridge-Ano Karveli.

Difficulty level: B

Our route mainly follows the cobbled path connecting the villages of Kato Karveli and Ano Karveli. It offers views towards the Messinian Gulf, Mount Lykourion, and the villages of Ladas and Ano Karveli, while at the end we will visit the impressive Ladokarvelioti bridge towards the village of Ladas.

Essential for participation are good physical condition and appropriate seasonal personal equipment (including, but not limited to, hiking boots, hat, sun cream, plenty of water, waterproofs, personal first-aid kit, long trousers and long-sleeved top/shirt). Transport will be by a 20-seater bus.

Departure at 7:30 AM on Sunday from Sparta Indoor Gymnasium.
